Streamsong Blue

Have you ever fallen for the click bait and visited crap-o.com belonging to the ads that say, “Check out what So and So Actress looks like without make-up?” Well above is a pic of the phenomenal and beautiful 7th hole at Streamsong Blue that I took during my winter round in 2015. Below is the professional version.

It’s like Laurence is catfishing you. Holy fucking difference in reality versus Tinder pic, Batman! Well I think me versus Ol’ Laurey Lambrecht on the Mona Lisa will even the score.

Notice how my Mona Lisa’s eyes follow you from wherever you view it! BTW, that’s not my Mona Lisa, I pulled it from the web but thought it was funny! I did see the real Mona Lisa in the Louvre and suffice it to say that it is way over-rated. But I digress.
The Streamsong courses are beautiful, different, and the resort is really top-notch. The Red which I previewed here runs along the perimeter of the property while the Blue occupies the interior – kind of like the U.S. in reverse. You’re really splitting hairs comparing the two, but gun to my head I call it to the Red – weather was nicer and they were top-dressing when I played Blue.
However, the first on Blue is the better of the ones and is in my top openers in golf. You climb up a dune to tee off and the entire course unfolds before your eyes. Also the 7th on Blue (when properly lit and photoshopped) is the wowwier of any hole at the resort – even though the 15th on Red is eerily similar.
Every trip I took to Streamsong was after a meeting or before one; we golfed, had a dinner, a quick sleep then onto Orlando (or the other way around). It’s not really on the way but it’s not out of the way either – much closer to Tampa than Orlando. If you have meetings in both cities back-to-back, this is a great stop. But, if you only have a one day then back from Orlando (IE family is at the Tragic Kingdom), I wouldn’t do it. Play Bay Hill instead. Make the family stay at the resort one night and you can get on. If you’re in Tampa, and don’t have private club connections, then yeah, I’d make the day trip. If you play either Red or Blue, you won’t be disappointed. If Black is the only available tee time, take the ride up to World Woods or Black Diamond instead.
